Athlete Training Program Day 6 Speed Training.

Day 6 of the ABT-Program is Speed Endurance. During the 6 day program we have covered every area of athlete development. On day 6 Speed Endurance focusses on not just speed but conditioning. The program can be done in the sand, on the track, of field. The general principle is the same, but the location is up to you.

Warm-Up 10 minute Jog
Dynamic Stretch
Walking Kicks 2×20 yards
Quad Stretch into Lunge 2×20 yards
Glute Stretch into Lunge 2×20 yards
Side Lunge 2×20 yards
Side Shuffle w/arm swing 2×20 yards
Sprint 60-100% (Increasing each one by 10%)

Speed Drills: High Knees/Butt Kicks/High Knee Carioci/Carioci/Back Pedal Reach/Quick Feet Back Pedal
Drill 20 yards-Stride 20 yards

Workout:
Build Ups (gradually increase speed as you progress to 20 yards) 4×20 yards-sprint 20 yards after build up

Jog Starts (easy jog and explode at 20 yards)
4×20 yards-sprint 20 yards

Short Sprints (all out)
Sprint Fast as possible 4×20 yards

Cool Down- 5 Minute Jog and Stretch
