Welcome to Friday Flexibility, where we’re all about STRETCHING! Grab your balance ball (also known as a fitness, Swiss, or stability ball) and let’s stretch out those legs, easing soreness, soothing muscle tightness and increasing flexibility. These terrific STATIC stretches are best done with warm muscles, AFTER a workout. We’re focusing on gently holding stretches in our hamstrings (back of the thighs), calves (lower legs), quads (front of the thighs) and glutes (butt) to recover from a tough workout and boost mobility in our lower body.
Increasing flexibility is a slow process (like building muscle or losing fat) and requires consistent effort. Join me each week for more mobility workouts like this one, designed especially for runners and athletes who want to perform at their peak.
