Tightness through the hips and lower back is increasingly common these days. It can be a function of what we do day to day, the positions we find ourselves in and more.
These stretches lengthen out some of the larger muscles that cross the hip giving a looser, more relaxed feeling.
Some refer to the psoas muscle (the 1st one we stretch in this video) as quite an ’emotional muscle’ – this progressive form of stretching allows you to ease into the stretch without causing tension elsewhere.
