For thirty years, Waag has operated at the intersection of science, technology and art. It focuses on emergent technologies as instruments of social change, guided by the values of fairness, openness and inclusivity. Waag’s dedicated team of sixty thinkers and makers empowers people to become active citizens through technology.

Between 2017 and 2020 I was research director at Waag, member of the management team responsible for agenda, structural funding and implementation of Waag strategy and research activities. In that period, three research agenda’s were created by a stewardship process of strategy formation and the co-articulation of research programmes. In this period, Waag’s Public Research methodology was developed and formalised. In 2020, Waag re-entered the national BIS structure as Waag Futurelab.
